This recipe from the 1995 Winner, Laura Lee Stauble of Louisville, is for her Kentucky Bourbon Balls!
1 ¼ cups finely crushed vanilla wafer crumbs
½ cup powdered sugar, sifted
1 tablespoon cocoa
½ cup finely chopped pecans
1 ½ tablespoon white corn syrup
1 ounce Kentucky Bourbon
Chocolate for dipping
Combine all ingredients except chocolate. Shape into center for mold. Melt chocolate. Spoon small amount of chocolate into mold, insert shaped filling as center, complete filling of mold with melted chocolate. Tap mold to remove air bubbles, refrigerate to harden. Remove from mold.
Yield – Determined by size mold used.
