Rainy Day Fun at the Fair

Don’t let the rain ruin your #KYStateFair visit! We have 1.2 million square feet of indoor fun that everyone can enjoy. Check out these exhibits inside while you are waiting for the rain to pass.


Members of 4-H and FFA proudly display the skills they learned throughout the year and compete for champion honors. 4-H members learn and display new crafts in categories such as entomology, geology, forestry, electric, foods, horticulture, woodworking, clothing, knitting and crocheting, home environment, consumer science management, technology, country hams and photography. Located in the West Hall.

Pride of the Counties

Learn about the many tourist attractions, festivals, employment opportunities and leisure activities the commonwealth has to offer. Located in South Wing B.

East Hall Competitive Entries

The Fair’s 29 competitive entry departments and thousands of categories attract more than 50,000 entries ranging from fish and fowl to flowers and fruit. Entries and blue ribbon winners remain on display throughout the Fair.

Health Horizons

Lifestyle education, free health screenings and interactive exhibits offered by Kentucky’s medical community. Check this out in South Wing C.


Walk through the West Wing and Pavilion to see animals on display. You can also see animals at Discovery Farm in South Wing B.

Safety Town
Children have the opportunity to start driving lessons early in Safetytown. In this miniature city, children learn valuable information about transportation safety and the importance of buckling up. They also get put to the test when they get to drive their own ‘vehicles’ around town.
Commercial Exhibits in South Wing C
Features 350 booths and a huge selection of merchandise for a wide variety of tastes. Shop through the aisles for anything from jewelry and State Fair souvenirs to hot tubs and vinyl siding.
Daily Shows
Come inside to watch the variety of shows on one of our five stages. You can see anything from music and comedy to magic and food demonstrations.
Saddlebred Café
Sit down at the Saddlebred Café in North Wing to re-energize your horsepower. Both cold and hot buffets are offered every day.
