Free is FUN With These Artists!

On Wednesday, August 24, Chris Janson and Brooke Eden will pack the turf as part of the 2016 Kentucky State Fair Turf Concert Series lineup of Cardinal Stadium. These two key talented country artists are FREE with paid admission!

Chris Janson is a recently introduced and quick rising American Country music singer/songwriter from Perryville, Missouri. Between 2013 and 2014, he signed to Bigger Picture Music Group and released a few songs that received positive feedback. The songs “Better I Don’t” and “Cut Me Some Slack” both peaked at number 40 and 60 on Country Airplay. Then, in early 2015, Chris Janson released his single “Buy Me a Boat” and it soon became his first top 5 hit. Since this single, Chris Janson has been nominated for three ACM Awards and stayed busy on tour with Blake Shelton. Chris has also written and co-written songs for many artists including Tim McGraw, Hank Williams Jr., Parmalee, Craig Campbell, Jerrod Niemann, and many more. Chris will not disappoint when his fans come to see him at Cardinal Stadium on Wednesday, August 24th.

Joining Chris Janson on stage is a new country artist, Brooke Eden. Brooke is originally from Florida but relocated to Nashville, TN, where she started her music career. Her father, a singer/musician, introduced her to the music industry. After earning a marketing degree from the University of Florida, she worked as a bartender but was fired when her boss heard her sing in the bar. When told she had a voice “too good to be a bartender,” she moved to Nashville and found a gig at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. Brooke has written more than 100 songs in the past year and has had a few hit the radio airwaves. Her more popular songs include “Daddy’s Money” and “Sunday Morning.” Don’t underestimate this singer, because her down to earth and relatable songs will connect with every girl in the audience.

This Turf Series Concert is sponsored by the Kentucky State Lottery.
