What’s Around the Corner at the Kentucky State Fair?

With 1.2 million square feet of building space, it’s easy to get turned around at the Kentucky State Fair. With surprises throughout the Kentucky Exposition Center, you can guarantee you’ll run into a different event or show around every corner. The Kentucky State Fair is the largest indoor fair in the country and it’s air conditioned! Everyone knows about the Turf Concert Series, the Main Stage concerts, the wide variety of fried foods and the animal exhibits, but there’s more. Here are just a few of the hundreds of events you’ll see during this 11 day collaboration.

Discovery Farmdiscovery Farm2

Get up close and personal with some furry and feathered friends. The Discovery Farm is located in South Wing B, where visitors can learn what life is like on the farm. Through learning stations and personal encounters with cattle, goats, llamas, sheep, poultry, a sow and her litter, you’ll enjoy this event sponsored by Kentucky Pork Producers.

Gourmet Garden

Located in the lobby of South Wing A, this unforgettable show features demonstrations by fine chefs, caterers and bakers from across the state. After watching the many different cooking contests held on the state-of-the-art Gourmet Garden cooking stage, you’ll be hungry for a corn dog, cheese fries or elephant ears. Sponsored by Kentucky Beef Farmers.

Miller’s Border ColliesMiller's Border Collies

Lively border collies show off tricks and herding techniques on command. Don’t miss this memorable show in the West Wing every day of the fair sponsored by Chaney’s Dairy Barn.

The Buck Trout Show

Embracing a healthier lifestyle is the message as Buck Trout drives throughout the fair in his miniature truck every day of the fair!

Cuzzin’ Grumpy’s Porkchop Revue

This crowd pleasing comedy show features a variety of pigs doing stunts and with laughable antics. Watch them in the West Courtyard.

Paw Patrol Roll Patrol Road Tour

Paw Patrol.jpgThis show features some of TV’s favorite characters in safety suits. PAW Patrol, Little Charmers and Chubby Puppies will be in the South Wing parking lot spending time with kids of all ages. Don’t pass up these fun activities, family photo opportunities, new toys and limited edition giveaways August 20-21.

Rock-It the Robot

It’s hard to miss this nine foot robot as he roams the grounds of the Kentucky State Fair. But just in case, he puts on his own light show at night with an array of blue lights through his chest, arms and face. You might see him around the corner when you least expect it.

Neecha’s Amazing Doberman Show

These high-flying dogs bring audience members out of their seats and their incredible stunts. Neecha’s Amazing Doberman Show is like no other dog show and is exciting for all ages. It is located in the South Wing Parking Lot daily sponsored by Feeders Supply.

Lady HoudiniLady Houdini

With more than 1,000 escapes, Lady Houdini is the real escapologist bringing her jaw-dropping, adventurous performance to the South Wing parking lot.

Duke’s Taste Tour

Duke’s Mayonnaise Taste Tour will be stocked with delicious recipes of the famous mayonnaise for fair goers to sample. Stop by their tent located in the South Wing Parking Lot from August 19-21 to take home a mini jar of Duke’s, a recipes, and coupons.

Tractor Supply “Follow Us to the Fair”

Nobody wants to miss music and activities on stage, photo opportunities, prizes and a chance to lasso your own runaway pig. The Tractor Supply “Follow Us to the Fair” tour supplies all these fun-filled events while maintaining a family-fun environment for visitors of all ages.

Located next to Kentucky Kingdom, the Midway is an event to experience both day and night. This attraction is full of thrills from the Ferris wheel to bungee jumping, the Midway allows you to spin, fly, twist, drop, turn, roll, laugh and scream with all your family and friends.

Malt O Meal is the perfect opportunity to taste test your favorite cereal. With 8 cereal dispensers rotating 12 different flavors, you can enjoy samples with your family and friends. Look for the oversized spoons and cereal pieces for Photo opportunities and chances at their Prize Wheel located in the South Wing Parking Lot Aug. 18-21.
